Günther Hot Runner System for Two-Component Application Offers Space even in Tight Conditions

Modern plastics are subject to a host of different requirements. Customers in the consumer goods and packaging fields want an attractive design and perfect surfaces with a pleasant feel. Medical technology and electrical engineering require moulded parts with complex geometries, often with minimal wall thicknesses. Items which meet these needs can only be created using very stable processes which guarantee maximum precision.

To distinguish companies which are able to significantly reduce costs and necessary resources through the consistent use of the SIGMASOFT^® Virtual Molding software, SIGMA Engineering presented the SIGMA Award for the first time in early November 2017.

Swiss company Lanker AG wanted to convert their injection moulding production of base plates for vacuum measuring devices from cold runner technology to hot runner technology. Ultimately, the only option considered to solve this problem was BlueFlow® technology from GÜNTHER Hot Runner Technology – it was the only one which could fulfil all the requirements.
