Thick-film technology: Your benefits

Thick-film heaters can be used for a variety of applications and can be individually adapted to your needs. The use is not limited to hot runner nozzles, please contact us.

More about thick-film technology

Heating speed

Due to the thin printed layers and the low thermal mass, the heating mass, the heating elements have a very fast reaction time. This means they can reach their target temperature with heating rates of up to 50 K/s.

Customizability

A thick-film heating system can be according to your ideas. Each heating element is unique, as are the intended applications.

Non-hygroscopic

The manufacturing process produces gas-tight and closed-cell layers. Accordingly, they are insensitive to moisture and ready for use at any time.

High temperature

Do you have highest demands for hot production processes? No problem for the thick-film heating elements. Temperatures above 600‌ °C/1,100 °F are not causing any issues.

Choice of substrate

The heaters can be printed on steel or ceramic. Depending on the application, the choice can be made between one of the two variants.

High dielectric strength

Whether 5 V, 12 V, 24 V or 230 V, the heaters work with all common voltages. In addition they have a dielectric strength of up to 1.5 kV.
